As an instructor, its going to be a VERY proud day to have our first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kids Martial Arts ceremony.
As the programs have developed, we had too few students moving up in the BJJ ranks, and too few kids to create an entire event, but this year we’ve decided to start the quarterly “Black Diamond Mixed Martial Arts Tradition” of a Belt Ceremony this January the 27th (a Friday), from 6 – 8 PM.
What will Happen at the BJJ Ceremony:
The first hour will be for the children’s martial arts students. All of our young, aspiring martial artists will be ready to take on their new belts and see the amazing progress they’ve made in their self defense skills.
From 7 to 8 PM will be the Adults Brazilian Jiu Jitsu belt ceremony.
This will involve both stripes and belts for students who are ready to make their progression toward the inevitable goal of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt.

In terms movement up the hierarchy of BJJ belt rank, the major factors are not all too different from what allows someone to make the step into the “Mastery Level” of training at Team Black Diamond.
The major factors involve diligence, effortful practice, enthusiasm, and a desire to refine / improve ones skills.
With this guiding mindset, it is my belief (and I have evidence from years of instructing and/or training at over 3 dozen martial arts academies) that ANYONE can reach their fitness goals and martial arts skill goals if they keep these principals in mind!
